LOCATION: The vines grow on terraces of laminated pebbles, beautifully exposed (former bed of the Rhône). The heat from the sun stored by the pebbles during the day is returned to the earth and grapes during the night. The yield is deliberately limited to less than 33 hl/hectare. The manual harvest is completely destemmed, the maceration lasts from 20 to 28 days, then the wine is aged for at least a year in vats and barrels.
CHARACTERISTICS: This great support wine reaches its maturity from five years of age. It can be enjoyed within two years of harvest and kept for ten years or more. Full-bodied, powerful, balanced and warm wine, which blends aromas of red fruits with spices and licorice. Tonic, good persistence in the mouth. It goes wonderfully with game, red meats and cheeses, even the strongest ones.
