Valpolicella is a typical area of the province of Verona famous for the production of unique wines. Verona is located in Veneto, a region located in northern Italy, famous for Lake
of Garda, the city of Venice and the Marchi Winery.

A story that began in 1945 with Gino Marchi and through the work of three generations has led to the discovery of the secret to producing authentic wines, with unique and distinctive characteristics.

Franco Marchi, one of Gino's sons, together with his sons Diego, Davide and Luca, carries on the research to obtain what according to the family should be the wine that best represents the uniqueness of the territory.

After three generations of passion and attempts they discovered what would become the secret of Marchi wines, a secret that grandfather Gino had always supported:

“Je le vigne vecie che fa el vin bon” "It is the old vines that make the good wine"

As with people, so with vineyards, it is with the right maturity that great results are obtained. To create the Lessini Durello and the traditional reds of Valpolicella, for the Marchi family there are no more doubts, the vineyards must be at least 10 years old. While for the Amarone della Valpolicella, the vineyard cannot be less than 20 years old. Only from this basis can the original scents of a unique territory be expressed.
