Collection: Cherrier Frères

Cherrier Frères is a family winery located in Verdigny, 5 kilometers from Sancerre. The Cherrier family owns about 20 hectares in the Sancerre appellation and about ten in Menetou-Salon. The vineyards include the three different soils of Sancerre: caillottes, terres blanches and selce.

Winegrowers in Sancerre since 1848, the estate was created in 1927 by Maurice Cherrier who, in the 1960s, entrusted the business to his son Pierre, who in turn expanded the vineyard and cellar. Starting in 1980, Pierre's two sons, François and Jean-Marie, returned to the estate after their oenological studies in Beaune, continuing with the same philosophy of great attention to quality.

Since 2000, François and Jean-Marie have decided to practice viticulture as close as possible to nature, taking care to use as little energy as possible for production: organic farming, elimination of synthetic products in winemaking, as well as the selective practice of biodynamics.

The domaine is HVE accredited ( High environmental value).
