Collection: Tommaso Bussola
In the heart of Valpolicella Classica , among the hills of Negrar, lies Tommaso Bussola's winery , one of the most authentic and appreciated in the Verona area. His story is one of a passion turned into a profession, a deep connection to the land, and a constant pursuit of excellence.
The adventure began in the 1970s, when Tommaso, then very young, began working in his uncle's winery, discovering day by day the magic behind every harvest. In 1983, he decided to start his own business, carrying on the family tradition but with a more modern and experimental vision. Today, his wife Daniela and sons Paolo and Giuseppe work alongside him, uniting generations, ideas, and skills in a single project of life and wine.
The Bussola vineyards extend over approximately 14 hectares, located between 300 and 470 meters above sea level, on volcanic soils rich in basalt, limestone, and clay. This unique terroir gives the wines aromatic richness, structure, and depth , elements that distinguish the winery's production. The native Valpolicella grapes— Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara —are cultivated with respect for nature and meticulously selected, always guaranteeing the highest quality.
Tommaso Bussola's production philosophy is based on a perfect balance between tradition and innovation . In the vineyard, manual labor, careful pruning, and low yields are emphasized, while in the cellar, artisanal expertise blends with modern winemaking and aging techniques. Tommaso is known for introducing the careful use of barrique to the area and for his ability to interpret Valpolicella wines with a contemporary twist, while never losing touch with the terroir's roots.
Every Bussola bottle is born from a clear vision: to create sincere, complex, and long-lived wines that express the family's personality and the strength of the terroir. From Amarone to Recioto , including Valpolicella Superiore , each label reflects an approach driven by passion, precision, and sensitivity. Tommaso Bussola's wines are distinguished by their depth, balance, and extraordinary elegance , with a recognizable signature that makes them a must-have for lovers of Valpolicella with character.
Choosing Tommaso Bussola's wines means discovering the authentic soul of Valpolicella: a land that speaks through its aromas, colors, and stories. In the glass, you find the dedication of a family , the richness of an extraordinary terroir , and the tireless passion of a wine craftsman who continues, harvest after harvest, to express the best of himself.
