Winegrowers for over two hundred years, the Verharghe vineyards produce organic wines in the Bordeaux Supérieur and Saint Emilion Grand Cru appellations.

Excellent value for money

Château Haut-Rigaleau wines are produced on the 15 hectares of Domaine de Vigouroux.

This primitive 12th-century castrum, transformed into a fortified farm and then a noble residence, has been completely restored by its current owners, Chantal and Henri Verhaeghe, who have retained its character and restored this estate to its former activity: viticulture.

The estate's soils are clay-siliceous, over a limestone bedrock.

Highest point of the operation: 89 meters above sea level.

From organic farming, the red Bordeaux AOC Château Haut Rigaleau wine has a beautiful dark velvety color.

Well-structured, it is fruity and robust, offering excellent aromatic persistence due to long maceration. Aromas of grape and blackcurrant, aging in oak barrels brings woody vanilla notes.

Grape varieties: 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting suggestions: Red and white meats, game, poultry and cheeses. It will accompany good family meals.
