Viticulture: organic farming
A very refined and classy wine, with notes of spiced cedar, licorice, and raspberry coulis, a touch of bergamot and oud. An excellent example of a Left Bank Bordeaux, from a superb terroir between Château Cantemerle and Château Giscours.
Mille Roses was inherited by David in 1999 following the premature death of his parents. Initially, they had only 0.5 hectares of vines, and with his wife Sophie, they restructured and expanded the estate, which now boasts 10 hectares of organically certified vineyards. He named the estate Mille Roses in honor of his mother's passion for roses. They offer beautiful and honest wines from the Margaux and Haut-Médoc appellations and believe that a rich, well-balanced wine with a personal identity comes first and foremost from its terroir.
This wine is produced in the AOC Margaux terroir on two plots of 5.4 hectares, not far from the vineyards of Château Giscours, Château Monbrison and Château d'Angludet. This is the Arsac plateau, the southern edge of the Margaux vineyard.
