History and character

Château Pape Clément takes its name from Bertrand de Goth, who became Pope Clement V, and is considered one of the oldest wine estates in Bordeaux.

Pessac-Léognan, established as an appellation in 1987 in the northern part of the Graves, is the historic cradle of Bordeaux wines and produces both reds and great dry whites.
