Juan Gil - Jumilla Blue Label 2023

The Juan Gil Etiqueta Azul – Blue Label from Bodegas Juan Gil represents one of the most intense and prestigious expressions of Jumilla's production. A modern and powerful wine, born from historic vineyards and a careful selection of the best grapes.

Made from a blend of Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, it comes from old vines up to 70–75 years old, cultivated on poor soils at altitudes between 600 and 900 meters. These extreme conditions favor low yields and extraordinary aromatic concentration.

The vinification involves separate fermentation for each variety and an aging period of about 18 months in oak barrels, which gives the wine structure, complexity, and great aging potential.

Visually, it presents an intense and deep red. On the nose, rich notes of ripe black fruit, spices, vanilla, and toasted and balsamic nuances emerge. On the palate, it is full, powerful, and elegant, with velvety and well-integrated tannins, supported by good freshness and a long persistence.

Perfectly paired with red meats, game, roasts, and structured dishes, it is also ideal as a meditation wine, capable of evolving over time.
