75cl

A high-quality Bourgogne Pinot Noir that expresses elegance, finesse, and freshness.

Appellation: Bourgogne AOC
Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Vintage: 2024

Louis Violland is a historic Burgundy house founded in 1844, one of the oldest in the region. Its headquarters are located in the heart of Beaune, in buildings dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries, beneath which historical cellars extend where valuable wines have been preserved over time.

Bourgogne Pinot Noir represents one of Burgundy's most classic expressions. This appellation spans much of the region, from Chablis to the Mâconnais, and includes approximately 3,000 hectares exclusively dedicated to the production of red wines from Pinot Noir. These wines are generally fresh, elegant, and medium-bodied, characterized by aromas of red fruits and a fine structure with soft tannins.

The 2024 Louis Violland Bourgogne Pinot Noir is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. The harvest is carried out manually, followed by a careful selection of the bunches. Vinification takes place in steel tanks, where both alcoholic fermentation and a refinement phase occur, with the aim of preserving the purity of the fruit and the typical elegance of the grape variety.

In the glass, it presents a brilliant ruby red color. The nose is intense and fragrant, with aromas of red and dark fruits. On the palate, the attack is delicate, followed by a pleasant persistence of fruity notes. The tannins are soft and well-integrated, giving the wine a harmonious and balanced structure.

This is an elegant and versatile wine, perfect for pairing with white meats, cured meats, not-too-aged cheeses, and traditional dishes, best expressing the classic style of Burgundy Pinot Noir.

Recommended pairings

This type of Pinot Noir pairs well with:

  • roasted or grilled white meats, such as chicken, turkey

  • mushroom-based dishes

  • light pasta dishes with fresh tomato sauces

  • delicate cured meats, prosciutto

  • not-too-aged cheeses

Ideal time to drink

Already good to drink now, the wine should provide pleasure without much waiting. If stored well, it can offer something more in 2-3 years, developing subtle tertiary notes, greater integration of aromas, and a bit more roundness.
