San Leonardo 2018 is a symbolic wine of Tenuta San Leonardo, located in Avio, Trentino. This fine red is a classic Bordeaux blend, composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon , 30% Carmenère and 10% Merlot . The grapes are vinified separately in cement tanks, with spontaneous fermentation, and then assembled after careful selection. The wine ages for 24 months in first, second and third passage French oak barriques .

At sight, the San Leonardo 2018 presents itself with an intense ruby ​​red color. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet with notes of small berries, undergrowth and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it stands out for the balance between dense and well-integrated tannins, a lively structure and a crescendo finish.

This wine has received numerous awards, including 98 points from Robert Parker and 95 points from Decanter . Its elegance and longevity make it ideal for cellaring, with a potential for over 30 years.

San Leonardo 2018 is perfect when paired with stews, braised meats, roasts and game, enhancing the flavours of traditional Italian cuisine.
