Ateca Wineries

Located in the heart of Aragon, in the Calatayud designation, Bodegas Ateca is a young but already established winery, founded in 2005 and part of the prestigious Gil Family Estates group. The winery was established with the aim of promoting one of Spain's most iconic grape varieties: Garnacha.

The vineyards are located on the mountain slopes around the village of Ateca, at an altitude that can reach 900 meters. Here, on poor slate soils and in a climate characterized by strong temperature fluctuations, very old vines grow – some dating back to the early 20th century – capable of producing concentrated and high-quality grapes.

Bodegas Ateca's production philosophy is based on rigorous grape selection and harvesting at the optimal ripeness, with the aim of best expressing the character of the terroir.

The winery's wines are distinguished by their intensity, structure, and aromatic depth: modern interpretations of Garnacha that combine power and elegance, while maintaining a strong connection to their region of origin.

Bodegas Ateca represents the most authentic and contemporary soul of Aragonese Garnacha, blending viticultural tradition with an international vision.
