Baglio Bonsignore's Nero d’Avola “IO” is a wine that brings the winery's most intimate and personal character to the glass. The name itself, "IO" (I/me), is a declaration of identity: a sincere affirmation of belonging to the Sicilian land, its warmth, its energy, and its memory.

This wine comes from the vineyards of Agro di Naro, where the light is intense but the altitude of about 450 meters provides freshness and breath. The calcareous-clay soils, nourished by underground water veins and caressed by constant winds, allow for a balanced maturation of the grapes, promoting aromatic concentration without losing finesse. It is a territory that shapes Nero d'Avola with a delicate hand, enhancing its fruity soul and natural elegance.

In the glass, "IO" presents a brilliant and deep red color. On the nose, notes of ripe cherry, black cherry, plum, and spicy hints reminiscent of the earth and Mediterranean herbs emerge. More subtle nuances follow, recalling light cocoa, licorice, and a balsamic touch that adds verticality. In the mouth, it is full-bodied yet balanced, with soft tannins and a freshness that makes it dynamic and smooth. The finish is harmonious, persistent, warm but never heavy.
