Baglio Bonsignore's Syrah "Petricore" is a wine born from the encounter between the strength of the Sicilian soil and the winery's contemporary sensibility. Its name, "Petricore," evokes the scent of wet earth after rain: a primordial aroma, capable of awakening memories, emotions, and profound sensations. The Syrah vineyards are located on the hills of the Agro di Naro, in a landscape where light, wind, and altitude create an ideal ecosystem for this grape variety. The calcareous-clay soils lend structure, flavor, and aromatic complexity; the altitude of approximately 450 meters ensures temperature variations that allow the grapes to develop intense and defined aromas; the constant breezes rising from the Mediterranean keep the bunches healthy and dry, accompanying a slow and harmonious ripening. All this contributes to giving Syrah an elegant, deep, and luminous character.

In the glass, "Petricore" displays a deep, brilliant ruby ​​color. On the nose, it explodes with typical Syrah notes, reinterpreted by Sicily: black pepper, ripe red fruits, wild blackberry, and plum, followed by balsamic and floral notes that add finesse. In the background, one senses that earthy, mineral note that fully justifies the wine's name, a subtle yet captivating trace that seems to evoke the scent of rain on warm stones.
