Baglio Bonsignore's Pietreasecco – Syrah Riserva is a wine rooted in the estate's most intimate nature: the pale, compact stones of the soil, smoothed by time and wind, which preserve the memory of an ancient land. The name "Pietreasecco" evokes this silent dialogue between stone and vine, a balance reflected in a Syrah with a profound, mature, and extraordinarily elegant character.

This wine is made from Syrah grapes grown on the calcareous-clayey soils of the Agro di Naro, at approximately 450 meters above sea level. Here, the Sicilian light meets an unexpected freshness: the temperature swings sculpt complex aromas, while the constant Mediterranean breezes keep the vineyard healthy and dry. The altitude and soil work together to produce a concentrated grape, rich in color and nuance, ideal for a Riserva with great character.

Aging in wood is a crucial step in making Pietreasecco. Time spent in barriques allows the wine to unfold, develop depth, and integrate spicy and toasted aromas without ever losing the freshness and natural elegance of Syrah. It's a patient, precisely calibrated refinement that makes this wine complex and harmonious.

In the glass, Pietreasecco displays a dark, luminous ruby ​​color. On the nose, notes of ripe black fruits—blackberry, currant, and plum—emerge, followed by sweet spices, black pepper, hints of cocoa, and subtle smoky notes that enrich the bouquet. In the background, a mineral, almost earthy nuance emerges, reminiscent of the dry stones from which it takes its name.

On the palate, it's enveloping, powerful, and deep, yet balanced by a freshness that gives it momentum and depth. The tannins are dense and refined, perfectly integrated into the structure. The finish is long and warm, with a finish reminiscent of dark fruit, spices, and that subtle minerality that makes it immediately recognizable.
