History and character

Les Carruades de Lafite is the second vin of Château Lafite Rothschild.

Pauillac, on the left bank of the Gironde, is home to three of the five Premier Cru of the 1855 classification (Lafite Rothschild, Latour and Mouton Rothschild) and is the land of choice for Cabernet Sauvignon.

It is the estate's second vin: it is normally made from grapes from younger plots or selections not intended for the grand vin, and reflects its style.
