Château des Gravières Graves Blanc is a dry white wine produced in the prestigious Graves region of Bordeaux by the Labuzan family, winemakers since 1847. This wine is made from a blend of 50% Sauvignon Blanc , which gives fresh and lively aromas, and 50% Sémillon , which provides structure and softness.
Tasting Notes:
- Color: Bright straw yellow with greenish reflections.
- Aroma: Intense aromas of citrus, white peach, lychee and exotic fruits, characterised by an exceptional finesse.
- Taste: On the palate, it surprises with its roundness and freshness, with a long persistence that reveals a magnificent minerality in the finish.
Vinification and Aging:
The grapes are harvested by hand and subjected to very gentle pressing. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperatures to preserve the fresh aromas. The wine ages on the lees with regular bâtonnage for 4-6 months, imparting complexity and fullness to the palate.
Food Pairings:
Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs perfectly with seafood, shellfish, and fish dishes. Its freshness and minerality make it an excellent companion for light summer cuisine.
Serving Temperature and Aging Potential:
We recommend serving Château des Gravières Graves Blanc at a temperature between 8°C and 12°C. Although it is ready for immediate consumption, it can develop positively in the bottle for 4-5 years.
Awards:
The 2018 vintage received one star in the Guide Hachette des Vins 2020 , a recognition that corresponds to a very successful wine.
