This wine reflects the excellence of the terroir and the craftsmanship of the Peyrout family, owners of Château Lafargue for five generations.
Blend: The wine is obtained from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris , varieties that give the wine an aromatic complexity and a balanced structure.
Tasting Notes:
- Color: Bright straw yellow.
- Aroma: Fresh aromas of tropical fruit and citrus fruits are perceived on the nose, with toasted and vanilla notes deriving from the refinement in wood.
- Taste: On the palate, the wine offers volume and richness, supported by a taut structure and good freshness. Retronasal aromas of tropical fruit and grapefruit are found, with a well-preserved acidity that gives balance and finesse.
Vinification and Aging: The grapes are harvested by hand and subjected to a soft pressing. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, followed by aging on the fine lees with regular bâtonnage for 8-10 months. This process gives the wine aromatic complexity and a velvety texture.
