History and character

Château Pape Clément takes its name from Bertrand de Goth, who became Pope Clement V, and is considered one of the oldest wine estates in Bordeaux.

Pessac-Léognan, established as an appellation in 1987 in the northern part of the Graves, is the historic cradle of Bordeaux wines and produces both red wines and great dry whites.

Cru Classé de Graves: the classification of Graves wines was established in 1953 and revised in 1959.
