The 2010 Jacques Picard Art de Vigne is a vintage Champagne of great elegance and complexity , the fruit of the tradition and innovation of the Maison Jacques Picard , located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. This cuvée represents the essence of the terroir of Berru, a small village known for its historic vineyards and the quality of its grapes.
Made from a blend of 60% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Meunier, and 20% Pinot Noir , the grapes come from the Maison's oldest vineyards, and are partially vinified in wood and aged on the lees for at least 10 years. This process gives the wine a refined structure and unique aromatic depth.
In the glass, it presents a luminous golden yellow color , accompanied by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet of dried fruit, notes of butter, sweet spices and a hint of minerality , typical of the Berru terroir. On the palate, it is enveloping and structured , with a balanced freshness and a long, savory finish.
The Jacques Picard Art de Vigne 2010 is ideal as a sipping champagne , but pairs perfectly with refined dishes based on fish, shellfish, foie gras and mature cheeses , offering a sensory experience of great finesse and complexity.
