Louis Violland is a historic Burgundian house founded in 1844, among the oldest in the region, located in the heart of Beaune. The long tradition and experience in winemaking allow the winery to best express the various Burgundian appellations, including the famous Chardonnay.

An elegant expression of Burgundy, Louis Violland Bourgogne Chardonnay embodies the purity and refinement of one of the world's most iconic grape varieties, interpreted according to the tradition of one of the territories most suited to viticulture.

In the glass, it presents a brilliant straw yellow. The bouquet is fine and harmonious, with notes of white-fleshed fruit, fresh citrus, and delicate floral hints, enriched by light mineral nuances. On the palate, it reveals balance and precision, with a lively freshness and a pleasant persistence that enhances its drinkability.

The value of the Burgundy terroir

This Chardonnay is born in a unique global context: Burgundy, where the concept of terroir reaches its highest expression. The soils, predominantly composed of calcareous marls and clays rich in marine fossils, give the wine a distinct minerality and extraordinary elegance. The continental climate, with significant temperature variations, favors slow grape ripening, preserving aromas and acidity.

It is precisely in this environment that Chardonnay develops its most authentic character: aromatic finesse, vibrant freshness, and a balanced structure. The result is a wine capable of faithfully expressing the territory, with a classic and timeless style.
