100% Chardonnay
This wine is fully fermented in 228 liter "Borgognotti" barrels with a moderate use of new oak no more than 20%. The plots in the upper Pouilly climates and the very old vines are aged in new oak barrels because their concentration and complexity fully benefit from the contribution of the wood. A longer refinement, until bottling in the summer, releases the expression of this great terroir.
Vineyard age: 75 years
Exposure: East, South-East
Alcohol: 13.2%
Tasting notes:
Ideal in combination with shellfish and fish dishes, poultry and goat cheeses.

“Slightly more noticeable wood (though still subtle) frames the aromas of mostly white orchard fruit along with hints of acacia blossom and spice. Here too the texture of the succulent and rounded flavors is seductive, indeed almost sumptuous, combined with brilliant acidity on the dry and concentrated but not exactly austere finish. It's worth a look.

The lemon and vanilla scented creaminess fills the nose of this wine with its fresh and gentle scent. The palate is in tune with a soft and fragrant body that speaks of creaminess and ripe Mirabelle plums. The concentration and beautiful texture become evident in the finish, as does the citrusy, buttery intensity. Anne Krebiehl MW
