D.O. Campo de Borja
Morca is a winery located in the Campo de Borja appellation, in Aragon, one of Spain's most important areas for growing Garnacha. The project was developed to enhance the potential of this grape variety in a territory characterised by a continental climate, low rainfall, and significant temperature fluctuations, conditions that favour aromatic concentration and wine structure.
Godina is one of the winery's main wines and represents an elegant and intense expression of Garnacha. The grapes come from vineyards located at various altitudes, often on poor and stony soils, which naturally limit production and favour higher fruit quality.
Winemaking is meticulously managed, with controlled fermentations to preserve varietal aromas and an ageing period in oak barriques, usually for around 12 months, which contributes to complexity and structure without overpowering the character of the grape variety.
Visually, Godina presents a deep ruby red colour. On the nose, notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry emerge, accompanied by spicy, toasted, and slightly balsamic hints. In the mouth, it is balanced, soft, and structured, with well-integrated tannins and a good freshness that supports drinkability. The finish is long and harmonious.
It is a wine that pairs well with red meats, roasts, traditional cuisine dishes, and aged cheeses. Thanks to its balance between power and elegance, Godina represents one of the most complete interpretations of Campo de Borja Garnacha.
