Tasting Notes

The wine presents typical aromas of the grape variety, with the traditional combination of spices and ripe fruit, with notes of blackberry and currant. On the palate, it displays a discreet acidity combined with ripe fruit and soft tannins.

The finish is fresh and very elegant.

It pairs well with red meat stews, cured meats, and aged cheeses.

Serve between 16 and 18 °C

This wine is a tribute to our beloved "Angry Duck," who once lived in our vineyards. He had a very charming and independent personality, and his rare beauty was simply stunning. However, he would get agitated whenever someone approached him too closely.

Saint Sebastian, who inspired and gave his name to Quinta de S. Sebastião, was a martyr and a great warrior who believed he could prevent the Roman Empire from persecuting Christians. This range of wines, due to its irreverence, was also inspired by this historical figure, intrinsically linked to the village of Arruda dos Vinhos, where our Quinta is located. This range consists of wines from a Mediterranean climate with a strong Atlantic influence and blends of renowned national and international grape varieties. These wines are characterized by the enveloping nature of their soft, fruity, fresh, and elegant flavors.
