Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC Poiega is a wine with an intense ruby red color, spicy notes of cinnamon and vanilla, and hints of cherries in alcohol, plums, and small red fruits. The flavor is full, balanced, and persistent, finishing with hints of fruity sensations.

Grapes : Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara
Soil type : Limestone - Silt - Clay
Altitude : 204 m above sea level
Vinification and aging : Fermentation with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature (24°C) takes place in a horizontal fermenter for approximately 10 days, followed by malolactic fermentation to lower the wine's total acidity. The wine is aged in second- and third-passage barriques for approximately 18 months.
Alcohol content : 14.5% vol.
Pairings : Grilled beef, game or roast dishes, medium and long-aged cheeses.
