Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG

alc. 12.5%

Tommasi 's Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is one of the most authentic expressions of the Valpolicella Classica region , the fruit of over a century of family experience and passion. The Corvina, Rondinella, Corvinone, and Oseleta grapes come from select hillside vineyards located in the municipalities of Pedemonte and Negrar, where the calcareous, well-drained soils favor perfect ripening.

After harvesting, the grapes are left to dry for about 100 days in well-ventilated drying rooms, during which they lose weight and concentrate sugars, aromas, and structure. Slow fermentation and 30-month aging in Slavonian oak barrels give the wine balance, elegance, and extraordinary depth.

In the glass, it displays an intense garnet red color . The aroma is broad and refined, with notes of cherries in alcohol, dried plums, sweet spices, tobacco, and cocoa . On the palate, it is full-bodied, velvety, and enveloping , with silky tannins and a pleasant freshness that supports the richness of the fruit. The finish is long, harmonious, and persistent , with an elegant sensation of warmth.

Symbol of the winery and its production philosophy, the Tommasi Amarone is a wine of great structure and finesse , perfect with braised meats, red meats, game and mature cheeses , but also ideal to be enjoyed on its own, to appreciate all its noble complexity.
