Rafael Valpolicella Classico Superiore represents one of the Tommasi family's most iconic labels, an emblem of the tradition and elegance of Valpolicella Classica . The Corvina, Rondinella, and Corvinone grapes come from the renowned Rafael vineyard , located on the hills of San Pietro in Cariano, where optimal exposure and calcareous soils produce wines of extraordinary finesse and harmony.
After traditional fermentation, the wine ages for approximately 15 months in Slavonian oak barrels , developing complexity and softness.
In the glass it presents a brilliant ruby red color . On the nose it releases intense aromas of cherry, raspberry and plum , enriched by elegant notes of sweet spices, vanilla and toasted almond . On the palate it is harmonious and velvety , with a balanced structure, fine tannins and a pleasant freshness that accompanies a persistent and slightly spicy finish.
Rafael Valpolicella Classico Superiore is a highly versatile wine, ideal with white meats, pasta with ragù, roasts and medium-aged cheeses , but also perfect to enjoy on its own, to appreciate its purity and refinement.
