Collection: AD Coutelas

Angelique and Damien (the "A" and "D" in AD Coutelas) own 17.5 hectares, mostly in Villers sous Chatillon, but also in Ambonny, Bouzy, Vitry-le-François and Troissy. Most of their vines are over 60 years old and all the work in the vineyards and cellar is done by hand.
The roots of Champagne Coutelas date back to the early 1809, when Louis Victor Coutelas, a Champagne winemaker, created the Maison de champagne Coutelas. Today, the Coutelas family continues its quest for excellence thanks to Damien, representing the eighth generation. Although the house has evolved over time, borrowing elements of progress and dynamism from modernity, each of these contributions has been integrated with extreme vigilance and in compliance with the fundamental values of the House: authenticity, quality and tradition.
The elegance of AD COUTELAS Champagne comes from winemaking methods that combine the best of tradition and modernity. Damien Coutelas vinifies his champagnes with passion, using oak vats and barrels, as in the days of the first champagnes. The wines therefore benefit from the micro-oxygenation produced by wood, a natural material. The reserve wines are stored in 75 hl vats for slow and regular aging. These reserve wines give roundness to Coutelas champagnes. Each vintage is assembled with the utmost respect for the traditions of Champagne, behind closed doors, so that the Coutelas imprint remains a sparkling secret that invites sharing, conviviality and pleasure.
