Collection: Chateau Mille Roses
Château Mille Roses is a family-run winery located in Macau, in the southern Médoc of France, between two renowned "Grands Crus Classés": Château Giscours and Château Cantemerle.
Founded in 1999 by David Faure and his wife Sophie, the estate extends over 10 hectares of vineyards cultivated according to the principles of organic farming, certified since 2013.
The vineyards are planted on deep gravel soils, ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
Production focuses on two main denominations:
Haut-Médoc AOC: a balanced blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with a small percentage of Petit Verdot. This wine is distinguished by its fruity notes, a dense but silky tannic structure and an aging in barrels with only 25% new wood, to preserve its freshness.
Margaux AOC: Produced from a 4-hectare parcel previously classified as Haut-Médoc and promoted to Margaux from the 2007 vintage. Composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, this wine offers beautiful acidity, ripe black fruits and often floral or spicy notes. The aging lasts one year with a proportion of new wood between 30% and 40%.
The philosophy of Château Mille Roses is to produce authentic wines that reflect the terroir, avoiding invasive winemaking practices. The goal is to obtain precise and balanced wines, fresh and gourmand, respecting the environment and the winemaking traditions of the region.
