Soil: Loamy, sandy, alkaline, poor in substance organic. Vineyard planted in 1999.
Nebbiolo clones: CN 111; CVT 230
Vinification: 20 days at controlled temperature with daily punching down and pumping over and a further 60 days of post-fermentation maceration on the skins.
Tasting notes: Bright ruby red with orange hints. Pleasantly airy and intense: rose, cherry, raspberry, earth, tar. The palate is an attractive combination of grace and strength, fine and ripe tannins and a fragrant acidity that makes this Barolo long and accurate. The silty-sandy soil gives the elegance of the aromas and very fine tannins.
